About the Role:
United Truck Driving School in San Diego, CA is looking for a passionate and experienced CDL Class A Driver Instructor to help shape the next generation of professional truck drivers. Responsibilities:
- Instruct students in CDL Class A driving techniques, including pre-trip inspections, airbrakes, backing maneuvers, and public road driving
- Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Prepare students for the California DMV CDL skills examinations
- Maintain accurate student records, training logs, and progress reports
- Ensure all training vehicles are properly inspected and maintained before use
- Uphold a safe, professional, and supportive learning environment at all times
Requirements:
- Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record
- Passenger endorsement is a plus!
- Minimum 3 years of commercial truck driving experience
- Reliable, responsible, punctual, positive attitude, motivated
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for teaching
- Patient, professional demeanor with the ability to work with students of varying skill levels
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education a plus
